Lavradores de Feitoria White 2014 is among the '50 Best Portuguese Wines' in the North American market.
The '50 Best Wines from Portugal for the USA' were selected by three distinguished Master Sommeliers: Dennis Kelly, Madeline Triffon and Peter Granoff, who bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to the difficult task of selecting the 50 national wines that best suit to the American market.
The wines were presented on March 29th in New York, at The Highline Hotel.
The event consists of four seminars featuring a variety of speakers, moderated by Master Sommelier Evan Goldstein. The seminars are aimed at an exclusive group of 50 guests, the most influential trade and media professionals from different regions of the United States.
“This year’s 50 Great Portuguese Wines List is drawn from more than 10 high-quality regions, including Douro, Alentejo and Dão, and showcases the variety and depth of Portuguese wines produced across the country,” said Evan Goldstein. “The panel of three Master Sommeliers has selected an intelligent list that highlights Portugal’s greatest strengths, drawing on highly valued indigenous grape varieties.”
With this initiative, ViniPortugal aims to reinforce the knowledge and notoriety of Portuguese wines among North American consumers and opinion leaders, strengthening the affirmation of the quality of national wines in this market.
