Olga Martins, CEO and Commercial Director of the Douro wine producer Lavradores de Feitoria, is one of the three finalists in the Executive of the Year category of the 'Máxima Mulher de Negócios 2013 Award', an initiative promoted by Máxima magazine with the support of Jornal de Negócios with the aim of rewarding female leadership and management in Portugal. In addition to the Executive of the Year, this 'Award' elects the Businesswoman of the Year, with a total of 18 women nominated, nine in each category.
Sandra Silva (General Director of Mary Kay Portugal) and Sofia Salgado Pinto (Director of the Faculty of Economics and Management of the Católica Porto Business School and Deputy Director of the Presidency of the Porto Regional Center of the Catholic University) are in the running for the winner of the Executive of the Year category, which is aimed at top-notch female directors and executives, as well as entrepreneurs who are on their way to the top, constituting the next generation of leaders.
The selection of the two winners – Executive of the Year and Businesswoman of the Year – is the responsibility of a jury made up of Camilo Lourenço (commentator on economic affairs), Helena Garrido (director of Jornal de Negócios), Maria Cândida Rocha e Silva (chairman of the Board of Directors of Banco Carregosa), Maria João Vieira Pinto (editorial director of Executive Digest and Marketeer), Pedro Santos Guerreiro (executive director of Expresso and former director of Jornal de Negócios) and Sandra Correia (executive president of Nova Cortiça and winner of the Máxima Businesswoman Award 2012) and chaired by Sofia Lucas (director of Máxima).
The results will be announced on February 4th, in a ceremony that will take place at the EPIC Sana Lisboa Hotel, in Lisbon, with the presence of Assunção Cristas, Minister of Agriculture and the Sea.
