"Três Bagos" with news: Sauvignon Blanc and white from a 2014 blend

A single-variety Sauvignon Blanc and a white blend, both from the 2014 harvest and signed 'Três Bagos': these are the new products from Lavradores de Feitoria, a unique project that brings together 15 producers from the best terroirs in the Douro, with a view to the summer that is already making itself felt.

With a bright, citrus color, the 'Três Bagos' Sauvignon Blanc white 2014' is an exuberant wine, very fruity and fresh, characteristics intrinsically linked to the grape variety. With aromas of pineapple and a slight touch of apricot, to which are added some asparagus and nuances of tropical fruits, this single variety is characterized by its freshness and smoothness, in addition to good acidity. A balanced and voluminous wine, with a pleasant and persistent finish, whose fermentation took place mainly in stainless steel, with only 20% passing through French oak barrels, where it also aged for about half a year.

The 'Three Berries' Sauvignon Blanc white 2014' saw its launch accompanied by 'Três Bagos white 2014', a blend Made with the native grape varieties Viosinho (50%), Gouveio (40%) and Rabigato (10%), from farms spread across the three sub-regions of the Douro. Aged for some time in wood, this is a white wine with fruity aromas, but with freshness and structure that guarantees it good potential for evolution. With a straw colour, citrus and bright, the nose is fresh, mineral and fruity. Its good acidity and volume perfectly complement the aromatic notes, which are reminiscent of aromas of ripe fruits such as pear and plum. It has a fresh, expressive and very tasty finish.

Both come from vines aged between 25 and 30 years, helping to confirm the whites as reference wines from this Douro producer. If the Sauvignon Blanc It is excellent as an aperitif and can accompany fish or seafood dishes, the 'Três Bagos white' is more versatile at the table, proving to be an "all-rounder" and goes well with: salads, hot and cold soups, creams, lean fish, cod, octopus, seafood, pasta with white and red sauce. It is also a good companion as an aperitif.

The recommended retail prices (RRP) are €8.99 for Três Bagos Sauvignon Blanc white 2014 (750ml), and €6.29 for the Três Bagos white 2014 (750ml).
