One day at harvest

With the harvest season approaching, Lavradores de Feitoria, a producer from the Douro region, has just launched a new wine tourism programme that will give you the opportunity to experience the true experience of harvesting in the oldest wine region in the world - the Douro. After the recent opening of the wine tourism at Quinta do Medronheiro in April, Lavradores de Feitoria is now offering us a harvest programme to enjoy with friends and family. Aimed at all adventurers, curious people and wine lovers, the programme takes in the vineyard and winery, ending with a tasting of 'Terroir' wines. To participate, a group registration of at least 4 people and prior booking are required.
The offer, available only during the harvest season, allows all participants to get their hands dirty and learn about this ancient activity, its tradition and culture, as well as visit the Douro Valley at the most special time of the year. The program begins with a brief training on all the procedures and the delivery of harvest equipment, so that all the harvesters have everything they need. After the briefing, the journey through the enchanted valley of Lavradores de Feitoria begins with the picking and cutting of the grapes. Next, there is a guided tour of the winery, the historical room, the barrel room and the tasting of the first wine. To finish, there is nothing better than a moment of pure wine tasting that includes the tasting of three wines from the 'Terroir' vineyard, accompanied by a cheese board and regional sausages.
To ensure that everyone wears their jersey and is properly equipped, Lavradores de Feitoria is also offering a vintage kit with a t-shirt and a matching hat. The programme lasts approximately 3 hours and costs €100.00 per person.
