Wine bottled in an innovative format? Yes, that is the proposal of Lavradores de Feitoria. The Douro wine producer was the first to accept the challenge of the Portuguese company Wine Spiritus: bottling premium wines in 100 ml glass tubes. Wine In Tube (WIT) is the commercial name of this packaging, which arrived in Portugal in June 2013.
The wine chosen by Lavradores de Feitoria to kick off this proposal was its flagship wine 'Três Bagos Sauvignon Blanc', a wine that has many fans both in the national market and abroad. This choice was also related to the locations where it would be available: luxury hotels in Portugal. The Conrad Algarve, in Quinta do Lago in Almancil, was the first, but it was followed by the Farol Design Hotel and the Vivamarinha Hotel & Suites, in Cascais, and the Intercontinental, in Porto. Places where the pleasure of tasting a top-class wine combined with design and innovation are a successful duo.
After the success of this project, the next step is to invest in the innovative WIT packaging with other Lavradores de Feitoria wines and to expand the points of sale to other hotels, gourmet shops and wine cellars, in accordance with a strategy agreed between Lavradores de Feitoria and Wine Spiritus, the company that holds the rights to the WIT brand in our country.
